We met with “Most Powerful Person” in Polish Golf to understand the person and his contribution to golf in Poland. We ended up being fans.

Tavi Nimrod (1968, New York) Educated at Oxford (England), George Washington University  and Georgetown (USA). Mr. Tavi is a land developer and the former Chairman of the Board of Landmark LTD. As a founder of „Tavi Art Gallery”, a board member of Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and a Modern Dance company, Mr. Tavi is a philanthropist of the art.

Golf has a short history in Poland as it reemerged alongside democracy in 1989 at First Warsaw Golf.
Today, Poland has some of the best and most beautiful golf courses in Europe, says Mr. Tavi, some of which have been designed by leading international designers.
With a growing, exclusive membership, FWG is a much sought-after club among the elite and international visitors. Its members include major corporations, diplomats, top executives, successful social and business individuals.

The club also attracts celebrities, such as Tomek Iwan, the National Football team director, ex-NHL hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski, former Real Madrid goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, to name a few.

“PGA – Polish Golf Awards is very prestigious trophy in polish golf industry. “Most Powerful Category” is the recognition of a person who has leading position among the owners of golf courses in Poland. Mr. Tavi as a newcomer on the polish golf industry scene was recognized by polish voters for his spectacular accomplishments.”

So what made him deserve the title?
Mr. Tavi answered swiftly, “I care”. My caring manifests itself in just about every facet of golf life. Caring itself is good for nothing unless followed by actions. I act.
In the four years since Mr. Tavi assumed the operation of First Warsaw the club was voted as the “Best Golf course in Poland” and elected as “TOP 3 “ course in CEE.
Recently PGA Polska signed an agreement making First Warsaw the PGA National Practice Centre and the all new 9/18 hole course The Official PGA  Academy Course.
