The GeeX study conducted by Enpulse and SGH is entering its decisive phase. More than 15,000 participants have already shared their views, but now comes the real finale—the last moment to take part in the study and influence how companies will treat employees aged 45+ in the coming years. The organizers are calling on representatives of Generation X: now is the time to join the game.

For years, Polish companies have focused heavily on younger generations—their needs, work styles, and expectations toward leaders. Meanwhile, Generation X, which built organizations after the economic transformation, managed teams, and maintained business stability, rarely demanded attention, simply doing their job. Today, however, a clear shift is visible—people aged 45+ want to finally be heard.

In the GeeX study, we already have over 15,000 participants, but it’s like in elections—every vote matters and can determine what the future will look like. That’s why we encourage more people to take part—the survey is anonymous and takes just 10–15 minutes to complete, says Tomasz Szklarski, originator of the GeeX study and co-creator of Enpulse. The more respondents, the more reliable the results. This is crucial, because right now it is being decided whether today’s 45+ employees will say in a few years, ‘I enjoy working and want to stay in the labor market longer,’ or whether they will want to close this chapter as quickly as possible and retire, he adds.

The voice of Generation X in focus

GeeX is a nationwide project carried out by Enpulse in cooperation with the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). It is the first initiative on this scale aimed at understanding what mature employees really need: what gives them energy to keep working, what challenges they face, and what would make them want to remain professionally active for longer.

The study is also supported by the GeeX program council, composed of labor market experts, business representatives, and members of the academic community. Its members include: Agnieszka Chłoń-Domińczak (SGH), Anita Noskowska-Piątkowska (Head of the Civil Service), Paweł Jaroszek (Management Board of ZUS), Antonio Carvelli (Vice President of GI Group), and Paweł Dziekoński (Vice President of Fakro).

The fact that the study is overseen by representatives of the private sector, academia, and public administration best demonstrates the scale and importance of this project. The cooperation of these three environments allows us to speak about a truly substantive initiative that will become a key reference point in the discussion about the future of the Polish labor market, says Tomasz Szklarski.

The results of the GeeX study will be presented in June and will form the basis for concrete recommendations for businesses and public institutions.

The last moment to have your say

The anonymous GeeX survey can only be completed until the end of March. This means it is the final opportunity to join more than 15,000 participants and help shape the picture of the needs and challenges faced today by employees aged 45+. Every response strengthens the representation of this generation and makes its voice more clearly heard in the conversation about the future of work.

The GeeX project is not just another opinion survey—it is an attempt to draw a new map of the labor market, one that finally includes space for mature competencies. That’s why I appeal to all employees aged 45+: take part in the study, because your perspective is crucial for us to understand and effectively respond to the challenges we all face, emphasizes Tomasz Szklarski.
