Daniel Wrocławek is a private entrepreneur, who created an innovative idea of a franchise television network from scratch. The idea was quickly appreciated by jurors of various national competitions. Daniel Wrocławek was awarded, among others, the  “Discovery of the Year 2015” Diamond and the “Success of the Year 2016” title.

Was opening a TV station your dream?

For me, dreams remain dreams. I believe  in goals that you need to pursue. So, launching  a TV station was my goal, not a dream.
What is your recipe for achieving  your objectives?

In my work, a project as such is a goal.  As a task-oriented person, I am able to devote much to see a plan through completion and to create a new value. I’m resistant to stress and I don’t engage in self-pity. I have enough courage to take risks and implement  ideas that others did not dare to think of. At times,  I have to invest much time, work and money in a project, but most often the effort pays off because I can create something that is not only valuable and useful,  but also innovative.My hard work has resulted in creating the Telewizje Regionalne group that, by the end of 2020, is scheduled to cover 23 channels in Poland and abroad.


What exactly are Telewizje Regionalne and Telewizja Warszawa?

Telewizja Warszawa is an infotainment channel, but first and foremost, it is a source of information about local businesses, institutions, and cultural and entertainment events. Its main formats are such programmes as: FIRMOteka, GASTROmaniak and Good School. A viewer can use an internal browser in Telewizja Warszawa’s website to find a company that he or she is interested in, and watch a feature about it. Using a search engine, you can also find the programme that you want to watch.  But Telewizja Warszawa has much more to offer than just videos presenting local businesses. As entertainment television, it produces its own programmes based on its proprietary formats, such as: Warsaw by Night, Change Your Image, Stylish and Comfortable, The Warsaw Reporter  or the game show, My City.
What are your future plans?

A lot is happening currently in my life. I am focusing on opening and developing stations  in major Polish cities. In Warsaw, we are opening a live studio and launching „Good Evening, Warsaw”. It is the first Polish “dinner-time” television. The format will resemble breakfast television programmes, but it will be broadcast  in the evening. In the meantime, I am developing a large national project of a strategy game called La Muerte Falsa that will take place in the real world, with the aid from the virtual world. You will see the outcome later this year. Everything  I do has one aim – to give my son a better start  in life than I had. He is the most important for me,  and everything I do, I do for his future.

What do you think about franchise in the media?

So far, franchise has been associated with fast-food restaurants and cafes, now it’s time to look at it from a different perspective. Franchise TV is a network operating under the common name of Telewizje Regionalne. Through them, you can present to your viewers the latest news about culture and entertainment and cover the topic that an average Pole is really interested in. With just PLN 25 000 to start a business, after only 3 months, you can benefit from guaranteed return of the funds invested. The only condition  is to observe the assumed format of business.
Suppose that someone would want to invest in the media industry, but has no experience in this area …

No problem! Strictly defined rules of operation, professional training at every stage of development, hardware, technical support, professional advice  – all of this is available to our partners. By opening our own franchise television, we become part of the large Telewizje Regionalne group, having their premises and channels practically everywhere, from Kielce to Warsaw! We have just started implementation work in Lublin and the Tri-City and are consistently increasing the coverage. The possibility of reaching viewers in a particular location – a town, a city, or even a village – with the simultaneous availability of the channel everywhere in Poland  – is the greatest advantage of Internet TV channels.  It’s an absolute rarity when it comes to regional televisions and the real future of television.
It is worth noting that you not only  operate in Poland …

That’s right. Recently, I have taken steps to launch my television network outside Poland. It took us nearly five years to finally shape the system of operating our television. The final product that we offer – our proprietary regional franchise television – is a result of collaboration of hundreds of employees – technicians, journalists and media management experts.  We guarantee full support to all investors,  so that after only a few months, each of them can  freely and independently operate in the media world, managing their business just like the founders  of the largest Polish TV stations.
